Montessori Academy strives to create a natural French
environment for the children through bilingual classrooms.
We are proud to have Montessori Qualified French and
English teacher's in our classes creating a natural
environment for learning French. French in integrated into the
program rather than taught like a subject. The French teacher
works with the Montessori materials with the children becoming
part of the learning environment. Our goal is for all our
children to be comfortable with our second language.
Toddler (18 months - 3 years)
French is taught at this young age each
day. The children work with the French teacher in small groups
building their vocabulary through song, dance, games etc.
Primary (3-6)
French is integrated in the 3-6
Montessori program through the Montessori material. The
children work with the Montessori material in French each day
with the help of French Montessori Qualified teachers. In circle the French
teacher focuses on vocabulary, through song, dance and games
etc.
Elementary (6-9, 9-12)
The Elementary program is co-taught by
French and English Montessori teachers. The children can do
their work in French or English. French is taught with the
Montessori materials through French presentations. A focus is
placed on speaking French in the class and being comfortable
in French.
