The Canadian
Montessori Academy Teacher Education Program leads to a
Certificate in Montessori Elementary Teacher Education,
qualifying you to work with children from 6 to 12 years of age
- the Elementary age level. The course is being offered in
collaboration with Chaminade University of Honolulu.
The CMA
Elementary Teacher Education Program takes place in our 70
Fieldrow St. 揟he school in Nepean, a suburb of Ottawa,
the federal capital of Canada. All of the cultural and
educational resources of the Nation抯 capital are but a short
drive away.
To fully
appreciate a career in Montessori education, we strongly
recommend that you schedule a visit to our Montessori school.

you will engage with instructors in learning how to work with
children using the Montessori materials.

excellent teaching practices, we seek to help you master
habits of mind: curiosity, creativity, independent thought,
clarity, incisiveness of thought, tolerance for ambiguity,
problem solving, time and resource management.
- We offer online seminars and
workshops during the practicum period to help you with
specific challenges that may be encountered in your classrooms.
- Our purpose
is to prepare you to become a Montessori Teacher who can
observe children closely and, on this basis, prepare learning
environments, use materials with precision and care, identify
and respond to children抯 learning styles and their emotional
and social needs.

seriously Montessori抯 vision of a science of education. We
encourage you to keep up-to-date on contemporary research.
Using reflective methods, we invite your continual

M.Ed. Qualification
You can earn a M.Ed. Qualification from chaminade university in Hawaii, USA by obtaining five aditional online credits from chaminade.
