Speciality Programmes
Drama
CMA’s drama programme helps to nurture students’ spirits by providing an outlet for their creative
energy. Drama class gives students the opportunity to participate in games and lessons designed to
prepare them for a final production. All of the exercises and lessons are designed to build
students’ interest and self-confidence. We often find that as confidence grows, a student’s academics
are enhanced, as well.
Students learn about all aspects of the dramatic arts and theatre. The basics of the drama programme
include costume design, improvisation, theatrical expression, and movement. Creating characters
through the use of masks, Shakespeare, musical theatre, filmmaking and digital film editing are
among the selection of special topics that have been addressed through our drama curriculum.
Through exposure and their own creation, many students develop an extraordinary passion and
appreciation for the arts that can only come from this unique hands-on involvement.
